

Pasquale “Pat” Murace, 80, of Stamford, CT, passed away on October 31, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bivongi, Italy in 1941 and was the oldest son of Vincenzo and Catherina Murace. He immigrated to America in 1961 and learned the trade of plumbing through apprenticeship and various jobs until he ultimately founded his own plumbing business, Murace Plumbing, in 1976. He built countless relationships throughout his life, through his business and volunteer work, and proudly served his community with integrity, hard work, and generosity.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Lisa Agostino Murace; his beloved children, Pina Basone and her husband Michael, John Foti and his wife Sherry, and Vincent Murace and his wife Cami; and his 7 grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Basone, Kyle and Samantha Foti, and Ryan, Nicole, and Kevin Murace, who all fondly knew him as “Bubbie". He also leaves behind his sister, Beatrice Murace and her husband Giuseppe Morisciano in Italy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street in Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue in Stamford, followed by entombment at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Danbury, CT for their wonderful help and care in his final days.
