She was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on July 11, 1994 to Peter and Teren (Duffin) Basel. She moved with her family from Bolton Massachusetts to Trumbull, Connecticut when she was a young child and attended Trumbull schools, graduating from Trumbull High School. She then attended Fairfield University and Housatonic Community College with emphasis on business and accounting.
Phoebe progressed and worked as a chef and culinary artist at several high end country clubs and restaurants in Fairfield County. She was last working as a sales associate for a high end, artesian bakery in Norwalk. Phoebe and her family were long time members of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels in Stamford.
Phoebe's warm heart and sharp mind began to show in her very young years as a toddler where she loved to be held and cuddled. She could not get enough, and her compassion and love carried on into adulthood. She quickly excelled in school making high grades in all her subjects. She acquired a vast knowledge in many different areas including pop culture, politics, philosophy and many more. She easily engaged with others in deep heart felt conversations. Phoebe’s friends know her as headstrong, funny and the most loving person in the world. She was passionate about the things she loved, felt very deeply for music, art, nature, animals and stuffed animals. Her infectious smile lights up the room and her energy was contagious, uplifting everyone around her. Her calm and loving spirit will live on through all the lives she touched. May her memory be eternal.
Phoebe is predeceased by her grandparents Penelope and Louis Basel, Grace and Thomas Duffin, and her uncle Patrick Duffin. She is survived by her parents Peter and Teren Basel, her brother Paul Thomas Basel, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.
