

Annie Lee Bell Miskelly, 92, of Belmont and formerly of Stanley, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, July 22, 2013 at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas. She was born in Woodruff, South Carolina on August 24, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Freeman and Lula Crow Bell.
Mrs. Miskelly was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, Stanley where she was the Choir Director for many years and a Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Miskelly is survived by three daughters, “Becky” Haltom/Buchanan of Stanley, Patricia M. Rice and husband John L. of Stanley, Vicki Cauthen and husband George of Belmont; two sons, Donnie Miskelly and wife Marsha of Stanley, Ronnie Miskelly and wife Jane of Gastonia; daughter-in-law, Jean Miskelly of Gastonia; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 10 great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church, 402 Hovis Road, Stanley with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Leon Perkins officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
Mrs. Miskelly was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, Raymond J. Miskelly; son, F. E. Miskelly; four sisters, Pauline Messer, Mamie Lou Roul, Louise Steele, Josie Brandon; two brothers, Ervin Bell, John T. Bell.
