

He was a native of Cleveland County and the son of the late Frances Petty Warren Carroll.
Mr. Warren was a loving husband of 40 years, daddy, grandpaw, son and father-in-law.
He retired from Pharr Yarns of McAdenville and was a member of Open Arms Tabernacle in Hendersonville. He was a US Marines Vietnam veteran.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Alexis Fire Department and to Hospice of Gaston County for the help given to the Warren family.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Rose Warren and husband James Randy Warren of Alexis; two grandchildren Bret Andrew Warren and James Dean Warren both of Alexis; his father Howard Warren and wife Mary Helen of Shelby: a brother, Truman Warren and wife Pat of Shelby; two sisters, Connie and husband Tommy McAllister of Shelby and Ann Martin of Shelby.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley.
A memorial service for Howard Dean and Jeanette Elaine Smith Warren will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley with the Rev. John Devine officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
