

Born in Brooklyn, he was brought to South Beach as a child. He settled in Tottenville in 2003.
Mr. Bergamini worked for 15 years as a nurse's aide at Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze. He was still working at the time of his death. Prior to that, he worked as a manager in the retail industry, including working for 10 years as a manager at Major's Department Store in Mariners Harbor.
He graduated from Curtis High School.
Mr. Bergamini enjoyed reading, watching movies and writing poetry. He also enjoyed cooking and was known for his spaghetti pie.
"He was really funny and loved to make family and friends laugh. He was a real comedian. He also had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone," said his sister, Toni Maffeo.
Along with his sister, Toni, also surviving are four brothers, Lester Jean, Frank Campione, and Joseph and Michael Bergamini, and two other sisters, Tammy Jean and Angela Mancini.
The funeral will be Monday at 8 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
