Beloved husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather David Alan Plum passed away on December 14, 2021. Born in 1938 to the late Beatrice and Leo Plum, Sr., in Brooklyn, NY, David graduated from St. John's Prep and St. John's University and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1966. David moved to Staten Island in 1968 after his marriage to Lillian Murphy and settled in Westerleigh where they lived for 50 years. David had a 40-year career as a bank auditor and retired from the American Stock Exchange in 2003. He was a long-time parishioner at St. Teresa's. David was an avid reader and was always up-to-date on current events. He enjoyed traveling with Lillian and cruising together with friends. His favorite summer vacation spot was Cape May surrounded by his family. David is survived by his loving wife Lillian of 53 years and daughters Maureen (Frank) Windels, Kathleen (Peter) Poggioli, and Jennifer (Brendan) Auvil. Affectionately known as Baboo or Peapa, he will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Frank, Melissa, Patrick, David, Liam, Sean, Maeve, Olive, Chris, Millie, Peter, and Beatrice. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Robert (Kristen) Murphy, nephews James, Christopher, and Aidan and niece Lia. He was predeceased by his brothers Leo, Jr. and Robert and sister Rita. Donations in David's memory can be made to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Casey Funeral Home with visiting hours from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 17.
