Born on February 4, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, Dorothy attended Holy Family Catholic School. She later moved to Staten Island at the age of 12 years old where she attended I.S.24 Intermediate School and New Dorp High School.
Dorothy worked for the Federal Government as a secretary for several years. Later, she served as a school crossing guard for the NYPD, who she was still employed by at the time of her passing. Dorothy loved working with children and took pride in guiding them across the street safely. Her hobbies included working out at the gym, going to her local Dunkin Donuts for a large coffee with massive quantities of Equal, and watching all genres of movies, including old and new cinema. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her siblings Robert Borruso (Elaine), Diane DiGregorio (Pete), John Borruso (Ann) and Joseph Borruso(Dina) and many Nieces and Nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her Beloved Parents Anthony and Edith Borruso
