

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Dorothy L. Lynch, 88, of Eltingville, a retired stock exchange employee who was dedicated to her family and her faith, died Thursday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born and raised Dorothy Jenner in Flatbush, Brooklyn, she graduated from Erasmus Hall High School, where she was a member of the swim team.
Mrs. Lynch worked as a keypunch operator at the New York Stock Exchange in Manhattan for more than 20 years. She retired in 1973.
She was a member of Mothers of Priests.
Mrs. Lynch enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needlepoint embroidery, and was a New York Yankees fan.
She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family in her back yard, they said.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Lynch was an active parishioner of St. John Neumann R.C. Church, Greenridge, where she taught CCD classes and was a lector and Eucharistic minister.
Surviving are her son, the Rev. Gerard F. Lynch, O.SS.T; her daughter, Laura Eisenhardt; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. John Neumann Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
