

Port Richmond resident Geraldine Patricia Kopacz passed away of November 23, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1947 to George Draper and his wife Marie (Maria Nazzaro). She was raised in West Brighton and attended The Sacred Heart School. She then attended Port Richmond High School, where she met her husband, Stanley whom she married in 1971. After high school she went to work in lower Manhattan for the Aetna Insurance company for several years. In the early 1980’s she began working as a cashier at the former Acme supermarket on Staten Island until it closed. After this, she worked for many years at Dan’s Key Food on Forest Avenue in West Brighton. She enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City and also to Windcreek Casino in Pennsylvania.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 2011. She is survived by her daughter Deborah and her son Stanley of Santa Cruz, California, as well as her grandsons Ian and Tobin, her sister Edith of Florida, as well as her beloved cat Leo. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or an animal rescue would be appreciated.
