Mrs Gilmartin, Catherine and family:
I was very sorry to hear the news of Mr. G's passing. I, too, remember all of the great times your family shared with all the girl scouts in your beautiful and spacious backyard. I still remember the campouts when we used brown cardboard boxes to shield the dew and bugs from our heads at night. Mr. G will be missed I'm sure by all. My prayers and thoughts will be with you always. God bless all of you.

when I learned of Mr. Gilmartin's passing from the Cuddihy and Hayes clan, I immediately thought of his unending patience and guidance for all of us as young girl scouts and neighborhood frends.   In more recent years what a striking couple you made on the dance floor at the Marine Corp Ball each year.  My thoughts and prayers are will all of you the passing of a great Dad and Grandad,  a loving husband, a community leader and one of few remaining Mariens from the Greatest  Generation. I am so sorry to hear of the death of your beloved husband, dad and grandpa.  I remember Mr. G as such a kind and funny man from my Girl Scout days - he was never flustered by all of us descending on his home!  May your wonderful memories of him help you through this difficult time.
