My condolences go out to the Yorke family, friends, colleagues and students!
I met Kurt when I attended Curtis High School in the 80’s. I had no idea he was just a few years older than me. He was very mature, kind caring and always there! It wasn’t until I became an adult , that I realized we were actually a few years apart in age.
He was still working there even when I became an Agent in the 90,s. Curtis High School was his home! 
 We lived in the same community and sometimes attended the same functions  
Kurt was filled with laughter ,Humor and lots of fun, he loved to dance and live life to the fullest unapologetically!
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to bump into him a couple of months ago ( of course we laughed) unknowingly it would be the last time I would see him and share a laugh
Kurt care free spirit and laughter will always be  imbedded in me His presences will be sorely missed! But his light will never be dimmed!❤️

Kurt has always been sweet to me the entire time I have worked at Curtis. He was an inspiration to many and will be sorely missed.

I had the honor of working with Kurt many many years ago at P37. Kurt was a person you would never forget and every time you heard his name it put a smile on your face. Kurt was the kindest , sweetest person I have ever met. He loved the students and they truly loved him, he would do anything for anyone at anytime.
     Rest in peace dear Kurt I know that anyone that has ever met you has a very sad heavy heart at this time.

If you look up the word genuine in the dictionary you would see Kurt picture by the side, he would give you the shirt off his back and never wanted anything in return  they're good people and great people and many would tell you Kurt was one of the great ones. The last time I saw him was about Saturdays ago at Curtis and when I left his office he said ok  Mr. Sealy I'll see you later. Not knowing later would never come. I am deeply saddened by his passing, I still can't process he isn't here with us anymore but God knows best. RIP my good friend /buddy until we meet again 🙏.

Kurt Yorke , there is a million things you could say , I was just speaking to Kurt at Curtis HS annual spring fling literally a few days ago . The man never took a day off in the four decades he was around this building from the summer to the fall. He was there for every single person , every single day through thick and thin . Not a mean bone in his body . The guy was alway humorous
And you could never forget his laugh. He will
