Bari, Italy, she came to this country at 11 months old with her parents and three sisters, and was raised in Hell's Kitch- en, Manhattan
in a cold water flat. She began her secretarial career with American Airlines during the 1950's and retired from the New York City Board of Educa- tion in 1994.
Louise married Giacomo Tirone in 1956, and they were married for 30 years until his death in 1986. Louise had three children: Luisa Matos Tirone, Jack (Dawn) Tirone, and Mark (Tim Schawrz); six grandchil- dren: Jacqueline, Jack Edward, Rudy, Vincent, Mark, and Shawn; three great- grandchildren: Giavanna,
Madison, and Gabriella. She is also survived by her sister, Nan- cy Iannone of Bellmaur, N.J., and many nieces and nephews.
A parishoner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, she vol- unteered for many years at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Cen- ter. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and traveling with friends to vari- ous vacation spots in the U.S. She loved spending time with all her children and grandchil- dren.
In September 2019, Louise had a 90th birthday Gala at
Blue Restaurant with many fam- ily and friends.
Visitation is Monday at Har- mon Funeral Home, West Brigh- ton from 2-4 and 7-9 with Mass on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
