Mass is Wednesday for great-grandmother of 26
Marion Granello, 84, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Dec. 9, 2018.
Marion was born in Manhattan in 1934 to Margaret Mary and Martin Diercksen. She was married to the love of her life, Peter Granello, for 64 years, who she enjoyed socializing, dancing, traveling, and raising her children with. In 1997, the couple retired to the Jersey shore, where she spent her leisure time boating and making lifelong memories with her three generations of family.
Marion is survived by her six children, Debra and Charlie DeHart, Susan and Yoel Delouya, Peter and Mary Granello, Jimmy Granello, Thomas and Gina Granello, and Christine and Fred Momole; her 13 grandchildren, Raymond and Inna, Peter and Zetta, Marina and Steve, Peter and Janette, Thomas and Christina, Jennifer and Shane, Charles and Shannon, Thomas, Peter, Jamie and Joe, James and Alysse, Dana, and Danielle, and her 26 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit Harmon Funeral Home today, Tuesday, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass is on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 981 Castleton Ave.
