Mark was born on January 20th, 1984, in Staten Island, New York to Lorraine (Egbert) and William Poznak. Mark spent the majority of his childhood in Staten Island, surrounded by his mother Lorraine and his sisters; Jessica and Danielle. Always being an avid nature lover and adventurer, as a teenager, Mark attained the highest achievement of the Boy Scouts of America; Eagle Scout. He attended St. Teresa - St. Rita STREAM Academy for his elementary education and graduated from St. Peter’s Boys High School. For the past fifteen years, Mark was employed as an Ironworker for Local 361. He was a very proud American and always felt that by working on bridges and buildings, he was contributing to the expansion and safety of his city.
Mark was an intellectual, being very articulate and had high moral and ethical standards. He was very passionate about science, nature, and animals. He enjoyed hiking, backcountry camping, fishing, and gardening. Mark expressed his love for music as a death metal drummer for three bands over the course of his lifetime.
Mark met his wife, Christina in 2016 and shared a beautiful life together over the past four and a half years. They shared a love and appreciation for nature and adventure in the great outdoors and went on many camping trips and excursions together. Mark was a very hardworking and determined young man who made it known to everyone who surrounded him that he loved his wife dearly.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Christina Kehoe; his sister Jessica McKay, brother-in-law Tony McKay, niece Kylie Paige McKay; sister Danielle Weisberg, brother-in-law Scott Weisberg, niece Autumn Weisberg and mother, Lorraine Poznak.
