Martha DiBenedetto

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Martha “Natalie” DiBenedetto, 83, of Staten Island Care Center. Natalie, a lifelong Staten Islander, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Natalie was born on December 7, 1942 to Martha and Charles Galletta in Staten Island, New York. She graduated from McKee Technical High School, where she was voted Best Dressed and was proud of that nomination.

Natalie was employed by Staten Island University Hospital at the North site, as an Environmental Service worker where she retired with more than 20 years of service. She also enjoyed working as a banquet waitress at various catering halls throughout Staten Island.

In her spare time, Natalie enjoyed many activities, such as baking holiday cookies, watching game shows, playing Lotto, and shopping. Her most enjoyable time was spoiling her three granddaughters with love and treasures from her shopping sprees. She was also a woman of strong faith, spent many mornings with her prayer books and dedicated her time watching mass on her television every Sunday morning.

Natalie is preceded in death by her siblings, Josephine Mascarelli, Frances Westgate, Anthony Galletta, and Charles Galletta.

She is survived by her son, Salvatore DiBenedetto and her daughter, Deana Naylor along with their spouses, Stacey DiBenedetto and Christopher Naylor. She leaves behind her three precious granddaughters, Arianna DiBenedetto, Olivia DiBenedetto, and Allison Naylor.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Visitation will take place at Casey Funeral Home, located at 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, on January 12, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 101 Cromwell Ave, Staten Island, NY 10304, on January 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.

The committal service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309, on January 13, 2026, at 11:30 am.
