

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend
Michael "Mike" Cilento, 59, of New Brighton, S.I., passed away at home on Dec. 13, 2018.
Mike was born in Brooklyn to Louis and Frances (nee Maffeo) and was one of four children. He graduated from Xaverian High School and St. John's University. After his marriage to Mary Ellen (nee Murphy) he settled on Staten Island in 1981.
Mike worked in several technology jobs in the financial field, most recently as the chief technology officer and managing director of 60 Degrees Group.
Mike was loved by many for his generosity and giving spirit. He enjoyed hosting family and friends at holidays, pig roasts, and campfires. He learned the words to Irish songs by listening to his wife sing them as lullabies to their children, and often led the family in an impromptu sing-along at holidays and weddings.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, and his children, Robert and his fiancee, Nikki Crone, Karen and Hayk Ekshian, Amy and Andrew Hollingsworth, and Claire and Ridwan Mahmood. He was the cherished grandfather of Luke Ekshian.
The wake will be held at the Harmon Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 53 St. Marks Pl., Staten Island. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
