His wife of 11 years, Michele (Urciuoli), said, "I not only lost my husband but I've lost my best friend."
Richie grew up in West Brighton, S.I., and had a well-established landscaping business for 22 years (Richie's Landscaping) until selling the business and joining Local 731 Laborers' Union. He enjoyed watching football with his family and friends and was a huge Giants fan. He also enjoyed building model cars.
Richie is survived by his wife, Michele; his mother, Lorraine Archibald; brothers, Harold, Lawrence, Michael, and sister, Laura Nouvertne, along with seven nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two loyal dogs, Spanky and Coco.
Visitation for Richie will be held at Casey Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service at the funeral home will take place at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
