Born in 1930 in Staten Island, NY as the youngest of 7 children to Anna and Vincenzo Damato. She worked many years as a seamstress and was a long time parishioner of (formerly) Assumption church in the New Brighton area of Staten Island.
Rose was beloved by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. A tenacious spirit, she spent the first 8 years of her life in a convalescent home after contracting and surviving polio at a young age. Her hobbies included trips to the casino, playing bingo with friends, word search puzzles, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her loving great-nephews, Joseph & Nicholas, her great-grand nieces, Lucianna & Angelina, and her nephew-in-law Joseph & his wife Christine.
The graveside service will be held on Monday May 18th at 11:00am at St Peters Cemetery at 52 Tyler Ave, Staten Island.
