

Sam lived on Staten Island and later relocated and made his home in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from McKee Vocational High School and began a long and dedicated career in telecommunications in 1969. Sam worked as a Systems Technician for AT&T, New York Telephone, and Verizon until his retirement in the early 2000s, earning the respect of colleagues through his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Vallese (née Reagan), who passed away in 1998.
Sam is survived by his loving children, Nichole Duran and her spouse Leonel Duran, and Carl Vallese and his spouse Frances Vallese, as well as his sister Marie Salerno and her spouse John Salerno. He is also survived by his longtime partner, Deborah Neumuller, and her children: Shannon Romeo and her spouse Eddie Romeo, Stephanie Neumuller, and Danielle Litts and her spouse Cody Litts. Sam was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him great joy.
Sam was an avid poker player who enjoyed watching football and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his love of entertaining and was often the life of the party, bringing laughter and warmth wherever he went. A natural problem-solver, Sam could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand with repair projects or household needs.
Sam will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
