

Born in Manhattan, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Midland Beach in 1969. He then lived in Rosebank and New Brighton before settling in Mariners Harbor last year.
He was a supervisor for the Staten Island Mental Health Society’s Head Start program.
Mr. Rosa graduated from New Dorp High School and attended the College of Staten Island.
Mr. Rosa attended the Evangelical Church of God, New Brighton. He was a pastor who enjoyed attending church, praying and reading.
“He was a loving man,” said his sister, Georgianna. “He was loved by everyone. He touched many hearts and souls, and he was very well loved by his co-workers.”
Surviving are two sons, Anthony Mendoza and Charles Mendoza; his father, Sergio Rosa Sr.; three sisters, Linda Rosa, Diana Rosa and Georgianna Rosa, and two grandsons.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, Burial will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
