

The lifelong Grymes Hill resident graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School.
He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry/premed from New York University, and received his DDS degree from NYU's College of Dentistry, both in Manhattan.
Dr. Fiorentino had his practice in offices in New Dorp and was known for his professional skills as well as his affection for his patients, many of whom became his friends over the years.
He enjoyed being with his family and was fond of the companionship of his German shepherd "Honey."
An enthusiastic sports fan, he rooted for the New York Yankees and Giants, along with the Oakland Raiders.
Dr. Fiorentino enjoyed music and was a good bowler, bowling in leagues in earlier years.
"He was bright, and kind and caring," said his mother, Carol Fiorentino. "He had a wonderful sense of humor and it was a pleasure to be in his company. He was loving uncle to his niece and nephew, Valerie and Daniel Gugliada, and a good friend to many people. And he loved animals."
Surviving, along with his mother, Carol, are his wife of 23 years, Doreen D'Anna; his stepdaughters, Maria D'Anna-Taccetta, Danielle D'Anna and Elizabeth D'Anna; his sister, Vicki Fiorentino, and three stepgrandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
