STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Wendy Jackson, 54, of New Dorp, a retired United Cerebral Palsy employee who is remembered as a loving wife, died Monday in the Addeo Hospice of Staten Island University Hospital, Egbertville.
The lifelong Staten Islander was born and raised in Tompkinsville.
She attended the College of Staten Island in Willowbrook.
Ms. Jackson worked for United Cerebral Palsy for 25 years, until retiring in 2003.
She had opened her heart and home to seven foster children, family said.
Ms. Jackson loved spending time with her family. She also was fond of reading and making arts and crafts projects. She enjoyed photography and using pictures she took in her scrapbooks.
Surviving is her husband of 13 years, Calvin Moore.
There will be a memorial service Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
