Carolyn Wise

Mrs. Wise retired after 36 years as a nurse in several hospitals in Florida before joining Bulloch Memorial Hospital, now East Georgia Regional Medical Center, and Brown’s Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. She was a very loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother who spent three years serving as a missionary and nurse alongside her husband in Haiti. Mrs. Wise faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. She loved the Lord and taking care of her family and others; she will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her first son, John Wayne Wise.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Mr. John H. Wise; daughters, Kathy Abell (Marvin), Darlene Snider (Lonnie), Linda Wise, Janet Aldrich (Tim), Mindy Wise (Gilbert Smith); son, Tim Wise (Marie “Dinkie”); 15 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; brother, Douglas Pollard (Brenda); sister, Irene Davis (J.P.); many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Thursday April 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home at 11: 00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Watts officiating.

Burial will be in the Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
