John W. Horton, Jr.

Mr. Horton was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah before moving to Stilson in 1992. He was a retired Automotive Transmission Specialist having been a co-owner of Akins and Bob Automotive in Savannah. He was a member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday school class and the choir. He was preceded by his parents, John W. Horton, Sr. and Sarah Helen Y. Horton.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Horton, Brooklet; son, John W. Horton, III, Brooklet; daughter, Karen Cotton, Brooklet; brother, Bobby N. Horton, Savannah, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, February 3, in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 4, in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Reland Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
