Betty L. Blackwelder

She was born April 4, 1928, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Lewis Adam and Beulah Sharpe Blackwelder. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Goforth; and a brother, Lewis Wilson Blackwelder.

Betty is survived by a niece, Jane B. Abernathy (Ronnie); two nephews, Jerry S. Blackwelder (Sandra) and J. Kent Blackwelder (Denise); three great-nieces, Lisa H. Elledge (David), Elizabeth B. Lunt, and Kara C. Blackwelder; a great-nephew, Darren W. Holt (Kerri); two great-great-nieces, Courtney Elledge and Hailey Holt; and a great-great-nephew, Jacob Lunt.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Porter officiating.

The family will speak with friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
