Dorothy Waugh Jordan

She was born in Iredell County October 28, 1923, daughter of the late Bruce Austin Waugh and Lena Day Waugh. She was married to D. A. Jordan who preceded her in death on July 13, 2007. One brother also preceded her, William E. Waugh.

She was the beloved mother of children, Gerry Jordan (Phyllis) and Reita Gilleland of Statesville; grandchildren, John Jordan (Debbie) and Mark Jordan (Kerry); and great grandchildren, Amber Jordan, Meredith Jordan and Eli Jordan. Also surviving is a brother, Thomas Waugh; and sisters, Lucille Morrison and Mary Reavis (Paul) all of Statesville.

Services celebrating her life will be held on Friday April 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. Olin Isenhour officiating. Burial is to following in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
