Edna Earl White Zepp Campbell

Mrs. Edna Earl White Zepp Campbell, 94, died on November 15th at Rosewood Rest Home in Harmony. She was born on September 17, 1916 in Olin, N.C. to Frank A. and Colace Templeton White. She was the last to be born in the family and the last in the family to pass away. She married Harold R. Zepp on June 30, 1936 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Preceding her in death were her brothers: Sidney, Gilmer, Flake, Taft and sisters, Anna Marie White Myers Robbins and Mary Lee Gragg. Also half brothers: Donnie and Delmer White and half sister, Ethel White Hoots. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Mr. Carl Sloan Campbell.

She is survived by her son, Gene White Zepp.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the Stony Brook Methodist Community Church in Stony Brook, N.Y. She was a member of the girls basketball team and graduating class of 1934 of Union Grove High School. She was employed as a beautician in Brooklyn, N.Y. for a few years and was also employed at J.C. Penny for 12 years in Smithtown, N.Y. She was in care of Jurney's Rest Home in Olin, then Olin Nursing Home and later to Rosewood Rest Home in Harmony as she was a long time Alzheimer's Disease patient since 1998.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in the Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
