Edward Remi Reid

Edward Remi Reid, of 206 Camelot Dr., Statesville, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Gordon Hospice House. He was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Bremen, GA. to the late George and Dora Mae Reid. Mr. Reid was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Bowden Mfg. Company.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Erlene Ann Reid, as well as four brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Reid leaves a son, Randy Remi Reid (Teresa), of Prosperity, SC; a daughter, Renee Reid Meredith; and two beautiful granddaughters, Jacqueline Meredith, of Statesville and Melanie Reid, of Prosperity, S.C.

Memorial services celebrating Remi's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Porter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date.
