Emilee Regina Hinson

Emilee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul Jonah and Marie Elizabeth Hinson, and Jimmy Thomas and Annie Regina Martin.

She is survived by her son, Jonah Moon Phonephet; her parents, Randal and Sue Hinson; brother, Randal Lee Hinson, Jr.; sisters, Meredith Williams (Zach), Kristin Chansourivong (William), and Amanda Mullis (David Barbour); nieces and nephews, Riley Mullis, Michael Tyler Mullis. (Abbey), Aidan Barbour, Morgan Williams, and Olivia Chansourivong; and great-niece, Mylah Mullis.

Emilee Regina got to experience the abundance of love and wonder that a child brings by being blessed with her own shining star, Jonah Moon. She gave him the middle name “Moon” so he would always know she loved him to the moon and back.

She was a firecracker, the youngest of five siblings, and determined to be heard. She would walk into the room and make everyone laugh with her awkward hugs and clever zingers. She was fearless and had the confidence to do anything. While on stage receiving her high school diploma, she had no problem giving a speech to the crowd on how much it meant to her.

Emilee had a lot of practice on stage from being in theater, something she loved. She had a determination that led her to try almost everything; cheerleading, dance, soccer, volleyball, and photography. When she discovered photography, she found her own kind of magic. She would take the most beautiful pictures of nature and sunsets. She took pictures of the sunset, at the same time every single day, and even took a picture of the recent solar eclipse. She also loved music and talking about The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, and ACDC with everyone she knew.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 p.m., with Minister Susan Harris officiating.

Emilee has left a thumbprint on the hearts of her family and friends, who all have their own secret handshakes, special code words, and wonderful memories with her.
