Fannie Bunton Beckham

Mrs. Fannie Bunton Beckham, 85, of Statesville, died Sunday at Gordon Hospice House. She was a native of Iredell County born on May 11, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Marvin Lee and Rebecca Goble Bunton. She was married to James Beckham, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1980. Mrs. Beckham had retired from Bunton Dowell Works.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph and James E. Bunton and a sister: Dorothy Mae Bunton.

Surviving is one son: Freddie Beckham (Donna) of Statesville, one grandson: David Wesley Beckham (Kim) of Greensboro , one great grandson: Oliver Beckham, a sister-in-law: Mamie Bunton and an adopted sister: Hazel Mills of Statesville.

Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Beckham's life will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Northview Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Donnie Dingess and Leroy England officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
