Grace Murphy Carver

She was born March 25, 1952, in Virginia Beach, VA, and was the daughter of the late Norma Westmoreland Murphy. She was a former member of Western Avenue Baptist Church and prior to her disability retirement, she was a retail sales clerk. She cherished her grandchildren and her greatest joy was spending time with them.

She was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, Arthur Trevor Carver.

Grace is survived by five children, Bridget O’Rourke and Jimmy O’Rourke (Mia), both of New Jersey, Arthur Carver, Wilbur Carver (Sarah), and Daniel Carver (Meredith), all of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren; her brother and sisters, Buddy (Sharon), Janice (Gary), Frances, and Norma, all of Virginia Beach, VA.

Funeral services celebrating Grace’s life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2011, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of the son, Daniel Carver, 225 Cedar Glen Circle, Cleveland.
