Jack Joseph Reece

He was born in Haywood County, NC on May 28, 1938, and was a son of the late Howard McKinley and Beulah Eulalie Inman Reece. Mr. Reece was retired from Southern Screw Company and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and reading his Bible. On November 3, 1963, he married the former Kathleen Marlow who died on May 7, 2002.

Survivors include a son, Joe Reece and his wife, Shawn, of Olin; three granddaughters: Emily Ann Reece, Sara Beth Reece and Rachel Claire Reece; two brothers, Ray Reece and his wife, Addie, of Canton and Wade Reece and his wife, Ruth, of Statesville; and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Moore and her husband, T.L., Mrs. Jeroline Ball and her husband, Melvin, and Mrs. Linda Bell and her husband, Wally, all of Statesville.

Services celebrating Mr. Reece's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Olin United Methodist Church with the Rev. James White and the Rev. J.R. Speece officiating. He will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the Olin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Stone, Sam Parks, Dewayne Campbell, Doug Holland, Bradley Holland and Wally Bell.

The family will be assembled at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Reece at 676 Olin Loop and will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM Monday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
