Born in Pickens County, South Carolina on April 8, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Sally Chapman Cantrell. Mrs. King attended Shiloh Presbyterian Church. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and “Nanny”.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harold King.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucretia Rogers (Jimmy) of Stanley, N.C., two grandchildren: Briana and Conan Pettit (Tiffany) and two great grandchildren: Jacob and Haley Pettit. Also surviving is a brother, Robert Cantrell of Six Mile, S.C.
A celebration of Mrs. King’s life will be held at 2:00pm Monday, May7th in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday from 1-2pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Lincoln County.
