Matthew Sean Elliott

He was born July 15, 1985, in Statesville and was the son of Scottie Wayne Elliott and Janet Orrell Perry. He attended West Iredell High School and Mitchell Community College. He had attended Bristol Road Baptist and was a carpenter and former employee of Statesville Brick Company. He loved and wrote music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was loved dearly and will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Elliott.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Orrell (Dale) Perry of Scotts; his father, Scottie Wayne Elliott (Jill Saunders) of Florida; maternal grandparents, Carol (Norris) Feimster of Scotts and Steven W. Orrell of Lincolnton; paternal grandmother, Judy Childers of Statesville; paternal great-grandmother, Roxie Phillips of Statesville; two aunts; two uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Matt’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
