Mitchell Ray McIntosh

Born in Richmond County, N.C. on February 26, 1947, he was a son of the late James Samuel McIntosh and Mary Ellen Covington McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh was retired from the H.R. department of Lowes Inc. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and loved playing with his grandchildren, gardening and cooking. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He earned his Bachelor's degree from East Carolina University.

On July 5, 1969, he married the former Janice Austin who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Leslie McIntosh of Mooresville and Stacy M. Gandy and her husband, Michael of Huntersville along with two grandchildren, Ellie Grace Gandy and Laney Faith Gandy. Also surviving are two brothers, James Samuel McIntosh, Jr. of Cherry Grove, S.C. and William Covington McIntosh of Cheraw, S.C.

Services celebrating Mr. McIntosh's life will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Southern officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times they will be assembled at the residence.
