

He was born January 3, 1931 in Iredell County to the late Stacey Clyde Jordan and Selma Barker Jordan. On April 8, 1950, Mr. Jordan married Erma Lou Marlowe who passed away on May 15, 2003 after 53 years of marriage. Working in wood finishing for most of his life, he was considered a master at finishing and repairing furniture. Stacey retired 1993 as a sales/service representative for Azko Nobel with his main account at Kincaid Furniture in Lenoir. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent and a deacon for many years. One of his talents was singing bass in the church choir and gospel groups and he had a great passion for listening to gospel music.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Danny Jordan (Deborah) of Conover, his daughter Cynthia Freeze (Lenny) of Troutman. He was Pawpaw Stacey to three grandsons, Brandon Lassiter (Elisse) of Oak Park, IL, Tyler Jordan (Tess) of Summerfield, NC and Trevor Jordan (Erin) of Black Mountain, NC and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Bunch Johnson Funeral Home Chapel Friday, September 9, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at Bunch Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00-7:30 Thursday, September 8, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Iredell Health System – “Nursing Excellence and Innovations” of the North Tower 4th floor nurses; Elizabeth Brownell, Administrative Assistant Nursing Administration Iredell Health System 557 Brookdale Dr. Statesville, NC 28677
His family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, cards and visits during his illness and would also like to thank the 4th Floor Nurses and Respiratory at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
