Thomas Grady Gill Jr.

Mr. Thomas Grady Gill, Jr. of Eufola Road, died Jan 8, 2012 at Davis Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Iredell County, born December 21, 1935 and was the son of the late Thomas Grady Gill, Sr. and Dorcus Lazenby Gill. Mr. Gill had retired from Statesville Roofing after 44 years.

He was married to the former Helen Colvard who preceded him in death December 29, 2008. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Goolsby and Mary E. Abernathy.

Mr. Gill is survived by one daughter: Tamalynne E. Harris of Statesville, one sister: Barbara Williams of Statesville, one grandson: Richard H. Teague, Jr., one granddaughter: Amanda R. Harris , one great grandson: Richard H. Teague, III and one great granddaughter: Haden Joline Teague.

Services celebrating the life of Mr. Gill will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Hide officiating. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00-1:30 at the funeral home.
