Everett, affectionately known by his nickname, Bubby, was born in Staunton, VA, on April 27, 1957, along with his twin sister Cecil.
His developmental delays required full time care and led to frequent moves between state funded facilities and specialized foster care residencies.
Bubby loved all kinds of music and was known to break out in some fierce dance moves. However, his great love was matchbox cars which resulted in a collection of hundreds of models which were gifted to him over the years. As the medical determination was made that Bubby would not recover, his sister resolved to donate his organs. A match was located for his kidneys and liver, which yielded a gift of life and hope to the three people.
In addition to his parents, Jean and Erskin Robinson, along with his birth mother Wilnette Lemons, he was preceded in death by his brother Samuel Lemons.
Bubby is survived by one brother, Winston Lemon (Ruth) and sisters, Margaret Rodgers of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Johnnie Mae Hackett, Jeanette Saunders, and Cecil Robinson, all of
Staunton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
