Karen Sue Kesner, 60, of South Lynnhaven Drive, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her residence.
She was born July 15, 1958 to the late J.B. and Betty Eilleen (Wasson) Embry.
Karen was a member of Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Stuarts Draft and a former employee of Sentara Health Care.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nola K. Embry.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Kesner; sons, Brian Kesner and Michael Kesner; daughter, Lauren Kesner; siblings, Jeff Embry, Brian Embry and Tim Embry; granddaughter, Kyalie Kesner. She also leaves an aunt to cherish her memory, Ramona Curtis.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 2348 Tinkling Spring Road, Stuarts Draft, with Pastor Charles Perkins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
