Elmer is survived by his niece, Marilyn Zeman, nephews, Greg (Adrienne) Kulousek, Rudy Kulousek, and Ed (Connie) Karlovic, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Elmer was an Army Veteran. After his military service, he pursued a career in engineering, eventually becoming the Vice President of Engineering at Industrial Filter & Pump in Berwyn.
Beyond his career, Elmer was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many summers with friends in Wisconsin. Additionally, Elmer played in the Senior Olympic Volleyball League.
Elmer was also a lifelong member of American Sokol and leaves behind many people he's touched with his friendship through the years.
A visitation will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, located at 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402, on January 4, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. A Sokol memorial will be held that day at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 5, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at Sokol Spirit, 3909 Prairie Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513.
