

Jean went to be with the Lord Wednesday December 16, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois June 13, 1921....to Katherine and John Schoenher. She lived most of her life in Stickney, Illinois and for the past 14 years in Forest Lake, Minnesota with her daughter and son in law.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Irv; son Irv (Darlene); grandson Ryan Joseph Babich and eight sisters and one brother.
She is survived by daughter Jean Marie (John) Schreckeis; Grandchildren, Kathy (Jack) Pankau;
Karen (Ron) Homolka; James (Kris) Teml; Christopher (Katie) Babich; Scott Babich; and Tim (Tiffeny) Teml. 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.
In her youth Jean was a great softball player and founded a woman’s softball team. She was secretary of the Stickney Golden Agers for several years. She worked as a beautician. Jean crocheted and donated baby blankets to the Life Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota. She was the best baker in town and was always there for a good card game.
She was the ultimate caregiver.
She loved her boy, Murphy, the Boston Terrier and she had many friends.
She will be laid to rest at Mount Auburn cemetery in Stickney in a private service for immediate family. A memorial is scheduled later in the year.
