Helen Martha Baldwin, nee Kary, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away into the loving arms of the lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on January 10, 2022 at the Palos Illinois Hospital at the age of 104. She was born July 5, 1917 In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Michael and Agnes Kary now deceased. She had five siblings, Lillian, Dorothy, John, Charles, and Alex whom are all deceased.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Dean M Baldwin who she is now joined with in eternity. She is survived by her three children, David, Sharon Evans, Jonathan, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Baldwin was a very loving mother and wife who was always willing to share her faith in Jesus Christ, and always help those in need, either family, friends or neighbors. She was always a faithful church attendee who taught and mentored anyone who wanted to know more about Jesus Christ. She had a beautiful soprano voice and often sang in church and at weddings. She was also an accomplished artist and writer who had her poems and prose published. She worked several jobs to help provide for her family and worked many years at the Sears Tower in Chicago before she retired.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 10:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. A Memorial service in her honor will be held on a later date At the Bridgeview Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Bridgeview Baptist Church or the Summit Bible Church.
