Maximiliano Colunga

Maximiliano Colunga, age 37, of Plainfield, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 24th, 2023. Max was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 6, 1986 to his parents Rosamaria and Jose Colunga Jr. Loving Father of Ximena Colunga. Beloved Brother of Jillian, Santino, Alejandro and Andres. Cherished Grandson of Everia (the late Alfonso) Orona, Jose and Juanita Colunga. Dearest Godson of Graciela Alvarez; Nephew, Cousin and friend to many.

Max was a great father to his daughter Ximena. He was a rockstar drummer in many bands including Blood of the Wolf, Disinter and started a new band called Ceased to Exist. He was one of a kind. A natural leader that walked his own path. His mother often called him King Tut.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Maximiliano that will be held on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, Illinois 60402. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 1st, 2023 with family and friends gathering at 10:00 AM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home for 11:00 AM chapel prayers with a burial to follow at Mount Auburn Memorial Park.
