Robert L. Philipps Sr.

Robert L. Philipps Sr., a cherished, hard-working, kind-hearted, and generous individual, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 23, 1939, Robert was a resident of Chicago, Illinois.

Robert was an Air Force Veteran who dedicated much of his career to property management. His work included managing properties such as Four Lakes in Lisle, Harbor Point in Chicago, El Dorado Towers in Miami, Sandburg Village in Chicago, Newberry Plaza in Chicago, and Lake Point Tower in Chicago. He also served as a Special Project & Reserves Study Manager at Schoengart Associates Inc. in Chicago.

In his personal life, Robert was a devoted life partner to Samuel. He was the loving father of Robert and Dawn and a proud grandfather to Natalie, Brooke, and Benjamin. He is survived by his siblings William, Michael, and Kathleen, and was preceded in death by his siblings Edwin, Mary Ann, and Mary Terese.

Robert had a passion for running, which he enjoyed throughout his life. Over the years he enjoyed the companionship of his dogs Casey, Daisy, Susie, Snoopy and Minnie.

Visitation will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, located at 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL, on January 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of chapel service at 12:00 p.m. Cemetery Mount Auburn, Stickey, IL.
