Roger Dale Holt, 68, of Midlothian, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 14th, 2025, in Hazel Crest. He was born January 26th, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Selmar and Margie [nee Hagood] Holt. He was a retired welder who spent over 40 years in the trade. He was extremely proud of the work he did on the Picasso sculpture in Chicago. He enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo. He loved fireworks and his favorite holiday was the 4th of July.
Roger is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Cathy Smith; sisters, Lois Stamper and Judy Holt; sister-in-law, Ann Holt; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Franklin Holt; and sister, Joyce Alderson.
Funeral services will be at the Mount Auburn Funeral Home & Cemetery (4101 S. Oak Park Ave. Stickney, IL, 60402) on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL.
