Scott Kwok-on Lee, 76, passed away peacefully in the early evening of April 29, 2025, as daylight began to soften, in the comfort of the home he cherished deeply.
Born in Hong Kong, he served in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force for 18 years before moving to Chicago in 1984. In time, he found his way as a small business owner, operating a modest restaurant where his quiet kindness was remembered just as much as the meals he prepared.
Scott had a love for clockwork—repairing watches and clocks with care and precision while his vision allowed. In his later years, he became more gentle and observant, leaving behind moments of quiet gratitude and grace.
He is survived by his son, David Lee, and his daughter, Wendy Lee, as well as his many siblings who stood beside him during his final chapter.
A visitation for Scott will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
