Thomas Paul Labash

Thomas Paul Labash, United States Army Veteran and resident of Stickney for 72 years, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Tom was born on November 16, 1946 in Oak Park, Illinois to his parents Doris and Arthur Labash. He is survived by his sister Paula Labash (Tammy Johnson), brother-in-law Allen Snyder, Sr., niece and Godchild Ali Snyder (Martin Brown); Bridgette Snyder, great-nieces Cheyenne Snyder, Cierra Snyder, Alexis Poulos, and great-nephew Allen Poulos. Thomas was the beloved neighbor and friend of Bev, Steve, Roy, Ken, Donna, Annie, Mikey, Adam, Jewell, Joann, Shirley, Ann Marie, Renee, and their families, too!

Thomas was preceded in death by Grandma Mae Zima, parents Arthur and Doris Labash, his sister Marie Snyder, and his nephew Allen Snyder, Jr.

Thomas graduated from Morton West High School, and went on to run Talco Printing Company with his father. Later in life, he was a well-loved local landscaper in the Village of Stickney. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching “Jeopardy!“ and listening to classic rock music. Tom was a member of the American Legion Post 687 for over 50 years, and the Lion's Club, as well.

A Celebration of Life and United States Army Military Honors will be held for Tom at a later time.
