Alton, I'm going to miss you. You were one of a kind. I always enjoyed talking with you about fish and water plants, and watching you show off the plethora of ponds in your yard. Your many gifts of fish and plants for my pond were always appreciated, and I look forward to someday having a little pond again. When I do, and Tim and I and our children and grandchildren get to look at the fish and watch them grow, I'll think of you with fondness. You raised a wonderful, strong, generous, kind, hard-working son, and I'm grateful for his presence in my daughter's - and my - life. I hope Heaven has koi ponds. Rest well, my friend, until I see you again.
