Bernice Mills Sears

Bernice Mills Sears, age 93, passed away in Marietta, GA on January 22, 2019. She was preceded in death by Kearney R. Sears, her beloved husband of nearly 52 years. She was born on January 14, 1926 in Alamo, GA and was the last survivor of the nine children of the late Thomas William Mills and Roxie Harrison Mills.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patsy Harper, Barbara Saul and Pam Riley and son-in-law, Mike Riley. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren, ten loving great grandchildren and two loving great-great grandchildren.

Bernice will be missed by all who knew and loved her and will be remembered for her love of living life to the fullest and her caring spirit. The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation to all the caregivers at Arbor Terrace of East Cobb and Kindred Hospice Care for their kind and compassionate care of Bernice.

A graveside service will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA. A family visitation will be held immediately prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA.
