Clinton Eugene Moye

Clinton was on born April 24,1946 in Hazlehurst, GA to sharecroppers and joined the Lord on March 5, 2024. He enlisted in the Army and married the love of his life in 1967. After his service he continued his college education at Georgia Tech, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management in 1972. In 1973, former President Jimmy Carter appointed him to revamp the Georgia Department of Revenue. He then became the Director of Motor Vehicle and President of AAMVA. Clint retired from the state after 32 years. In retirement his favorite title became, “POP”, where he loved watching his grandkids, nieces and nephews in their sports and activities.

He was met at the pearly gates by his son, Buddy Moye, sister, Linda McClendon, and Mom and Dad, Savannah and Emory Moye. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda Moye, son Nolan Moye, Pop’s girl Kim Gregory (Shane), granddaughter Jayde Holyfield, grandson Kane Moye, sisters-in-law Sandy Sharpe (Joe), Donna Denson, nieces-Cindy Lee (Allen), Tracie Stanley, nephews-Tim McClendon (Nancy), Scott McClendon (Meredith) and several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Clint on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A graveside military honors and committal service will occur Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
